- February 6 - Terrance Gore, 34, outfielder from 2014-22 for the Royals, Cubs, Dodgers, Braves, and Mets.[22].
- February 12 – Joe Nossek, Outfielder who Played seven Major League seasons for three major league teams from 1964–70 beginning in 1964 with the Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics and finished his career before retiring in 1970 with the St. Louis Cardinals.[23].
- February 20 – Bill Mazeroski, 89, Played second base for all 17 Major League seasons for only one major league team the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1956 until he retired from baseball in 1972.[24].
